Great post, Sissy! I just watched The Future Is Unwritten the night before last and it had me blowin' the dust off of the tubes in my old amp to my neighbors dismay. I mentioned this to a 23 year old co-worker and all she had to say was, "Who is the Clash?" Unbelievable. PS You should try some English/Oriental blends of pipe tobacco. Butera makes one called Pelican. Nice stuff.
Awesome. Yeah. Ask someone under 20 if they've heard of the Clash and you'll get a blank stare.
Play MIA's song "Paper Planes" for them and they'll totally throw their fingers in the air like they are shooting a gun to a slowed-down sample of "Straight to Hell."

Also just watched The Future is Unwritten. Strummer's BBC show is available to podcast. Search the itunes store.
Can't go wrong here. The Clash. Futura. Breakdancing. Bombed Trains.
OH yeah, did I mention this is one of the baddest Clash songs? It radically changed my understanding of music... in 3rd grade.
It also happens to be one of my son's favorites—tied with Lost in the Supermarket.
Thanks, Chum!
Yeah! I also just saw that FIU dvd and it was really good. I like your caption for the video. You have a good sense of humor.
Is there Pirate Radio anywhere in the US?
