Rain Surf

It was pretty choppy and crossed up yesterday at the cove. But there was a consistant left rolling off the rocks and only two guys out. Our gang paddled out and got some fun ones. Then the other guys left and we were the only three people out. Must've looked like crap from the parking lot, because we had the spot to ourselves for three hours.

It started pouring down rain. If you've ever surfed in the rain you know the sensation: You can't really feel the raindrops, or even see it falling, but the ocean surface just starts to boil. I'd love to see that effect in slow motion. Oh, and we got a nice rainbow. Let the gay pride comments begin...

I like this painting better than any of your others (that I have seen). Very cool. I do love surfing in the rain, and especially the snow. Hope I can meet you guys out next weekend, haven't been in the water with you much recently.

Chummers don't be ashamed of who you are. Say it loud and say it proud. Actually, I just posted about my feelings too. So I'm sure I'm going to get the barrage of b-hole bandit jokes too.

LOVE rainy surfs. Feel like you are totally enveloped in liquid. Or something. Even better when it glasses off during the rain.

Yes, the rainy surf! Had the same experience the day before with really good waves. I especially love rainy surfs in the tropics and the glass off effect as pushing mentioned. Should be getting some of those in a week : )

Love this picture Chum! The rain, the rainbow, the anticipation, the bros, G rubbing one off...you've pretty much captured every nuance of the day.

Thanks broskies. Surf was decent today and then it turned to crap in the blink of an eye. Really weird.
