On my way through Tillamook (home of fine cheddars and cow dung), I spotted this RV parked alongside the road. As I checked the surf on the back, I noticed that the massive motor home was made by a company called Safari, in a town outside of Portland. I wondered if the guy who painted the scene was singing the Beach Boys tune as he airbrushed the back of the beast.
Funny how a hollow left will always get me to pull over, no matter where I am.

My surf safari turned into a hurt safari. Kc and I got tangled up in some jungle juice on Saturday night. We came out the worse for wear. Couldn't even get up Sunday to catch the coast-bound caravan. Kc prayed to the porcelain god at noon. We watched football the rest of the day.
Lucky for me I was sitting by the window at the beach house. The tide was so extreme each way that there was only a small window where the swell was glassy and ridable. Caught some fun waist-high waves in O-side.
You can't beat that..Nice picture....Looks like my view of OR gets higher everytime I see you post something about it...I work with a couple of surfers from Washington who frequent OR for surfing in the summer..I'll have to drag the family up there for some camping one day for some empty surf! But I won't be an ugly outsider, I promise.
Cool shot of the motorhome.
Drew,
Let me know when you do come up! We can surf together!
There's no doubt, the guy is completely right.
