Dropping a Line

Nothing like a little clean Mexican swell to clear the cobwebs of tequila from the brain. We've been in Punta de Mita, Nayarit for the past 2.5 days, getting our holiday spirit going a few weeks early.

Waves? Check.
Sun? Check.
Beachfront condo with infinty pool? Check.
Margaritas with Shitbird and his crew in Sayulita? Check (with a bossa nova dance party to close things out).

The first thing that comes to mind when I look at the above shots of me surfing La Lancha today is "stiff old man." I need to limber up. I look the same way when I tie my shoelaces.

Yoga. More yoga.

If these pictures are of the same wave then I say, good job. You covered alot of ground and shouldn't worry about any stiffness. If not, then I'd say, so fucking what? Looks like the makings of a nice sesh.

The lens looks pretty sharp. Nice pictures. See you later this week.

Same wave, Whiff, with a couple frames missing where I pulled in... Thanks!

I also have to give a shoutout to She, who took the pictures from waaaaay far away on the beach using the new lens that dadio gave me for christmas.

Dude, that almost looks like a shacking. On the home front you missed one of the chossist shitbag breaks in quite some time.

I am very jealous. Especially considering Noah and I were treated to some of the worst surf Oregon has to offer on Sunday. Topping it off I was awoken last night with a throbbing ear infection (think ice pick in the ear drum). Enyoy it while you got it.

dee bees,

sorry to hear about the crap oregon surf and the lousy hearing canal (gee). os and I have been taking the surf for granted a little lately as it has only been 2.5 to 3 feet (at 14 seconds) the last 2 days.

but we promise not to take the next 3 days where the surf is 4.5 feet at 14 secs for granted...

damn this sunburn! at least it matches the spirit of the season...
