According to oregonsurf.com, an 18-foot-long, 5000-pound great white shark attacked a surfer on Halloween in Lincoln City. It was the second shark attack in the area this year. Nobody was hurt, but apparently, both victims' surfboards were the same color: yellow.Makes me think of fishing for trout with Power Bait. Seems like every season the fish are interested in a different color. Orange, chartruese, yellow, rainbow. If you don't know what they're biting on, they pretty much treat your hook like a chopped liver.

I saw a guy on TV in South Africa, who swam among great white sharks with a carboard painted in black and white.
That apparently kept them away, because it's the same color as the killer whales, which are the only predators for sharks...
