The Other Kind of Fishing
Took out the fish yesterday at a jetty.
Caught three waves before the tide killed it.
Bought some Mexican beer and waited.
Tide went slack.
Climbed down slippery rocks (beer in hand).
Cast the lure and bounced it off the bottom.
Jerked it free from snags.
South wind came on strong.
Rain pelted horizontally.
Peed twice.
Sneaky swell sprayed legs.
Caught a few fish.
Checked the surf again.
Gone.
Bought 4 dozen fresh oysters.
Shucked and chucked some back in the parking lot.
Three waves.
Three fish.
All before three o'clock.
(Thanks to Rye for showing me the ropes.)

There are no jetties...in Oregon.
You're loving that place now, eh? Figuring out the routine. I often fish there too, but have pulled more sea bass than I have waves. Tasty little bastards. Got lucky and found a vacancy up north that same day. Tasty little bastards
Yeah. No real waves there... And I also hear it's pretty sharky. We should have headed north, but the fishin' was fun!
Sounds like Thurs. could turn on N. of Tillamook head,
Cool life you're livin' up North Sissy.
Krust...?
ah Drum and Bass. Took me a while. Nice.
shucka, shucka, shucka....
I ate porn star quantities of raw oysters last night...
You have oysters with Tabasco sauce?
Pretty weird...
I made mignonette the next day. But tobasco and lemon is a good quick option...
